Genesis 17:9-14

9 God said to Abraham, ‘As for you, you must agree to keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you, throughout their generations. 10 This is my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you, which must be kept: every male among you must be circumcised. 11 You are to circumcise the flesh of your foreskins, and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and you. 12 Throughout the generations to come every one of your males will be circumcised when he is eight days old, including those born in your household or bought with your money from a foreigner not of your descent: 13 they must be circumcised; those born in your household or bought with your money. This will then be a physical sign that my covenant with you is to be an everlasting covenant. 14 Any male who remains uncircumcised in the flesh of his foreskin shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant.’
